One morning, the night watchman at the Eiffel Tower realizes that Paris has not woken up... Only a small number of people arriving in Paris by plane are unaffected by this strange phenomenon.

4K restoration undertaken by the Jérôme Seydoux-Pathé Foundation in 2018 at the L’Immagine Ritrovata laboratory, with support from the CNC. In 1971, René Clair edited the film down to 36 minutes. The restoration by the Jérôme Seydoux-Pathé Foundation, based on an original print preserved at the BFI, restores the 1925 English version, tinted and featuring previously unseen footage.
