Synopsis

Liu Sanjie, a gifted singer, was falsely accused by a ruthless landlord and thrown into the river. As she drifted along, she sang with all her might until she was rescued by a kind old fisherman. The landlord had seized the tea mountain and banned all girls from singing. Liu Sanjie challenged him to a singing competition. If she lost, she would accept the singing ban. On stage, Liu triumphed over the landlord, but he captured her and took her home. In the dead of night, she was rescued by the fisherman's son, Ah Niu, and they professed their love to each other through the enchanting melodies of mountain songs by the river. Together, they journeyed to a new place where they used their music to voice their aspirations and motivate the people to fight for their rights.
