Synopsis

In Western China, Sha Lifei left with half of Haige's wedding savings. In return, he promised to be there for Haige whenever needed. Once in Shuangqi town, Haige reunited with his childhood sweetheart, Haomei, and assisted her lame father with daily chores. One day, three arrogant swordsmen arrived in town and began to harass Haomei. Haige killed one of them in a fit of rage. Aware that the notorious One Sword Immortal would seek revenge, Haige turned to Sha Lifei for help, entrusting him with the remaining wedding funds. Despite making plenty of promises, Sha Lifei ultimately failed to keep them. Tragically, Haomei's father was killed by One Sword Immortal. Haige ultimately defeated One Sword Immortal, but Sha Lifei's betrayal left him deeply hurt. He and Haomei left Shuangqi town on horseback, determined to leave their past and their pain behind.
