Synopsis

Amidst the chaos of war, a valiant commander named Zhang Min led torpedo boat 909 on a daring mission to ambush Chiang's military transport fleet near a small island. The courageous soldiers sank Chiang's flagship, the "Zhongzheng", and relentlessly pursued the retreating enemy, hitting another transport vessel. In the midst of battle, seawater surged into the cabin, but the soldiers refused to falter. They summoned their courage and fired off one final torpedo, striking the enemy vessel and causing it to sink. Zhang Min and her comrades fought tirelessly on the open sea for two days and nights, determined to defend their homeland from the enemy. As the battle drew to a close, they eliminated the enemy captain and his remnant forces on a large reef. However, engine chief Liu Dao was wounded and ultimately sacrificed his life in the heat of battle. The entire crew rode on a captured sampan, joining a rescue fleet to return home victorious.
