Synopsis

Zhao Huaijin, a man who had lost faith in life after years of wandering, returned home to a startling discovery: his wife, Zhao Lan, had rented out a room to a charming young bachelor. When he sought to investigate the tenant's background through his chaste acquaintance, Mrs. Yang, he discovered that she too was not without fault. Unable to bear her husband's mistrust, Zhao Lan fled to the church to pray. Unbeknownst to her, Huaijin secretly followed her and when he overheard her heartfelt confession, his doubts were dispelled. The next day, Huaijin was distraught to find that his beloved garment was missing. He immediately suspected that Zhao Lan had given it to the male tenant, but she explained that she had sent it to his temporary residence when he was away and he had not yet received it. Fortunately, the package was finally returned and Zhao Lan was able to prove her innocence. After several similar incidents, Huaijin realized that he had wrongly blamed his wife for everything, and the two of them reconciled.
