On the evening of October 31 local time, the 5th China Film Week in Dubai 2023 opened. The event was attended by Prince Qasimi of the Emirate of Sharjah, Mr. Jamal, CEO of Dubai Film and Television Commission, and members of the royal family of the relevant territories.

The ceremony was followed by the opening film “One and Only”. Prior to the screening, George, an actor in the movie, performed street dance with local Chinese dancers in the audience, pushing the night to a climax. According to Da Peng, the picture’s director, Dubai is a dream city. Going forward, he hopes to realize even bigger dreams here.

From October 31 to November 6, the China Film Week features six domestic movies, including “The Wandering Earth II”, “Love Never Ends”, “Lost in the Stars”, “Chang An”, “Creation of the Gods I: Kingdom of Storms” as well as “One and Only”. The diverse and exciting program impressed many local movie-goers who said they were geared up for all the screenings.

The 5th China Film Week in Dubai 2023 is hosted by the China Film Administration and  the Consulate-General of China in Dubai, and organized by the China Film Archive and Ushine.
