China Film Festival in Serbia concluded with success
2022年12月19日

The five-day 2022 China Film Festival in Serbia concluded with success on December 18. The festival was jointly organised by the Chinese Embassy in Serbia, the China Film Archive and the Yugoslav Film Archive.

At the opening ceremony, H.E. Chen Bo, Chinese Ambassador to Serbia, expressed her pleasure to witness once again a Chinese film festival in Serbia. Cinema has been a major vehicle for mutual understanding between the people of China and Serbia. Many excellent films produced by the former Yugoslavia impressed a whole generation of Chinese, including the ambassador herself and they have become an integral part of the iron-clad friendship between the two countries.

Recent years have seen a flourishing film industry in China with many outstanding movies. Eight Chinese titles were screened during the festival this time, namely, “White Snake”, “Hi, Mom”, “B for Busy”, “Cliff Walkers”, “Huang Wenxiu”, “Am What I Am”, “My People, My Homeland”, and “The Great Learning”. These pictures present a multi-dimensional view of China's history, culture and social development, and have been very popular at home. Hopefully, they would enjoy equal success with the Serbian audiences.
